Adams County Water Association wins the 2017 United States Department of Agriculture Water System of the Year Award!
Adams County Water Association was named the "2017 USDA Water System of the Year" by USDA Rural Development. The award was presented at the statewide Managerial Conference of the Mississippi Rural Water Association.
Adams County Water was named water system of the year on March 29, 2017, during the general assembly of the 1,100 plus water systems that are a member of the Mississippi Rural Water Association. The award was presented to Ken Herring, General Manager of Adams County Water Association by Kent Evans, the Acting Assistance Administrator for the USDA Water and Environmental Programs. The USDA “Water System of the Year” award recognized Adams County Water Association for "Maintaining a highly successful and sustainable water system and demonstrating exceptional management."
Adams County Water views such a prestigious award as a testament to the dedication the Trustees, management, and staff have for the 6,200 plus members they serve.
